Irene Damiani

Registered to the Bar Association of Palermo, Irene Damiani is a Civil and Commercial Italian Lawyer, Mediator and Arbiter with a six-year-practical legal experience in Domenico Damiani and other Italian lawyers’ law firms. Irene has remarkably qualifying academic profile, as she has a master’s degree in Law at the University of Palermo (Italy), a postgraduate diploma in Legal practice at the Bar Association School and she successfully completed, with a high 2.1 degree, the LL.M. Programme in International and European Business Law at the Law School of Trinity College, Dublin.

She is passionate about consumer law and she worked in the European Consumer Centre of Ireland as a legal advisor. Irene has high competence in civil and commercial law, her knowledge also extends to private (family, property, inheritance, labour, personal injury) and contract law.

Irene Damiani has a remarkable knowledge in Intellectual property law. She carried out important research on copyright issues related to online libraries, while successfully leading the Italian Rotaract project of digitising the public library of Palermo, in 2016. Her dissertation was assessed by Professor E. O’Dell (Head of Copyright Review Committee in Ireland) with high 2.1 (68%) and commented “first class piece of analysis”.

Irene has also a highly qualifying knowledge in EU competition, consumer and product liability law, data & privacy protection law related to emerging technology and International arbitration. She speaks fluently English and is learning Spanish.
